Junior and Senior Infants went to the Hawks Well Theatre on Mon March 27th to see Room on the Broom. Afterwards they went to Kevinsfort playground for lunch and play time! The children loved Room on the Broom and were very lucky to get such a nice sunny day at the park!
We had a special visit today. Two lambs-Lisa and Casey, came into school. We all got to rub their fur-it was soft.They ran around the courtyard and into our playhouse. We learned that the lambs drink 1 litre of milk a day-that’s the same as 4 bottles.It was great fun. .
Our Aistear theme for this month is a Farm Shop! We sell healthy, fresh local produce in our shop! We are learning all about The Farm, farm animals, healthy eating, the food pyramid and lots more!! See some photos below…
The children in 4th Class have been working very hard for a number of weeks creating their very own book. They began the writing process with a lot of planning- characters, setting, descriptions, openings etc. Once they were happy with their preparation they were ready to start Draft 1. In December Third Class took part in a Leave No Trace workshop based on environmental awareness and promoting the importance of our oceans.
