Out for a Walk

On Wednesday we looked at the Safe Cross Code video and tried on our HiVis vests. We went for a walk with 6th class to try them out. We also had a run around the astro.  


Making Gingerbread Men in Junior Infants

We enjoyed listening to the story of the Gingerbread Man. We sequenced some pictures to tell the story and drew the features on our own gingerbread man. We also made our own gingerbread man. They were delicious.


Junior Infants in the Soft Play

On Thursday we went into the soft play area. Half of us played inside and half with the construction toys. Then we swapped over.


Junior Infants like …..

What do you like best about Junior Infants so far? Ferdia and James like the Magsnaps.  Odhrann and Freddie like the Lego. Meadbh, Sophie G, Dáire, Emily, Carl and Alison enjoy the soft play. Playing in the office is the favourite activity for Kate, Aide, Aoife, Íde, Mila and  Lucy. Julian likes the dinosaurs while Cillian likes the dinosaurs and the Play Mobile. Eolánn

First Days in Junior Infants part 2

We have had a busy first few days in Junior Infants. We went on a tour of the school, did P.E in the hall, painted, played with the toys, drew a picture of ourselves and played out.

Video Call on Poverty and Homelessness

6th Class pupils have been recently learning about and discussing issues relating to poverty, famine and homelessness in the world. In Geography we have been learning about the term “Developing Countries” and looking at the causes of famine including war, drought, disease and natural disasters. Junior Infants in a Bumbleance

We raised some money for the bumbleance service, special ambulances for children. On Wednesday a bumbleace visited school so we could see the service we helped. We all went into the bumbleance and saw how comfortable and child friendly it was inside.  


Ulster American Folk Park

  Sixth have read a novel called Under the Hawthorn Tree, fifth are currently reading it. This book takes place in around the 19th century.
