Christmas -2nd Class

We are all very excited about Christmas in second class! We have been practising for our Christmas concert in the church every day and today is the big day when we perform in front of all our families and friends. Sewing in 4th Class

The children in 4th Class have finished their sewing just in time for Christmas. It will make a very special present for the person it was intended for. Here are some pictures of their hard work during the process and the finished pieces.


Maths Games in Junior Infants

Sixth class came and showed us how to play some maths games so that we can now play them on our own.


Skeleton

4th Class were learning about the skeleton today and had a lot of fun in the process.


Space Projects- 2nd Class

  We have been studying the topic of space over the last month. We learned about the planets and life in space. We enjoyed a trip to the Hawkswell Theatre and saw a play called Secrets of Space. We then worked on creating simple space projects in class. We loved presenting our work to the rest of the class.


Reading in Junior Infants

We told the stories in our reading books to the children in fifth class. They asked us lots of questions about our books and wrote some nice comments in our record books.


Parke’s Castle

4th Class recently visited Parke’s Castle. Here are some pictures of their trip.  


Humpty Dumpty in Junior Infants

We did some work based on Humpty Dumpty. We cut out pictures and placed them in the correct order to show the rhyme. We coloured pictures of Humpty Dumpty. We cut out the parts of Humpty then put them together and made a wall for him to sit on.  


Our Trip to Knock -2nd Class

On May 28th we went on a retreat to Knock. We had a very enjoyable day taking part in many activities. We got a tour around all the churches, prayed and chatted with our leader Mairéad, visited the history museum and got to fill bottles of Holy water and bring them home with us.


Lissadell House

4th Class went on a trip to Lissadell House on Thursday the 2nd of May. After learning about its inhabitants since the 19th Century they were very excited to see the famous home.
