Our Trip to Knock -2nd Class

On May 28th we went on a retreat to Knock. We had a very enjoyable day taking part in many activities. We got a tour around all the churches, prayed and chatted with our leader Mairéad, visited the history museum and got to fill bottles of Holy water and bring them home with us.


Lissadell House

4th Class went on a trip to Lissadell House on Thursday the 2nd of May. After learning about its inhabitants since the 19th Century they were very excited to see the famous home. Happy Easter from 4th Class

Water Filtration

Last week in sixth class we watched a video on water filtration and it inspired us to do an experiment in groups on water filtration for World Water Day. Mother’s Day Cards – 1st Class

Aistear – The Gym

We’ve been working out in our gym during Aistear. We had our own membership cards and checked in with the receptionist each visit. The receptionist was in charge of timing us and telling us to move to different exercises.


2nd Class Art

We have covered many of the Art strands over the last few months, such as  painting, fabric and fibre and construction.

Spring Lambs and Chicks

We painted lambs and used chalk for the grass and marker to add the facial features. We also used our colouring, cutting, matching and sticking skills to make chicks.


Spring Art in Junior Infants

As part of our science topic we were looking at air – how we know it’s there and how we can change things or move items using air. We made bubble paintings by blowing into a mixture of paint and bubble mix. We then drew round and cut out flowers and a butterfly and stuck them on a background to make spring scenes.
