The Boston Tea Party was held in the Radisson Hotel on Friday night and was a great success. Boston Tea Party

A group of parents have been busy organising a fundraising Boston Tea Party for September 19th in the Radisson Hotel. Funds raised from the Boston Tea Party will be used to update the IT equipment which will be used throughout our school in all classrooms. It promises to be a great night out and all for a good cause – so all the children of Ransboro School

Table Quiz

The annual table quiz was held in the school hall on Wednesday 18th June. The winning team consisted of Emma (4th Class), Shane (2nd Class), Alex (3rd Class) and Mark (3rd class). The quiz raised €245 and this will go towards the cost of the 6th class year book. A big thank you to the organiser Brendan O’Loughlin and everyone who sponsored spot prizes.


A better future for all the world’s children

Children in 5th  class Ransboro did a project on the theme “A better future for all the worlds’ children.” We worked in groups of two, each group selecting a country that Irish Aid assists. New Building

Construction work on the new extension to the school will commence tomorrow, Monday May 19th. Builders will be accessing the school site through the church yard, thanks to the kind co-operation of Fr. Mc Crann. From Monday, there will be no parking facilities for parents in the church yard. A member of our Board of Management makes these colourful pencil cases throughout the year to put into Shoe Boxes for the annual Christmas appeal. They are a beautiful gift to get. Gaelic Football League

Gaelic Football League Winners 2014 Over the last number of weeks, Ransboro NS hosted a very successful in-school Gaelic football league. 72 pupils from 3rd to 6th class competed in the league, with the emphasis on participation and enjoyment.
