Some Senior Infants made some Easter nests with chocolate eggs.  Our ingredients were Shredded wheat, cooking chocolate and chocolate eggs. Yummy!!

  Some boys in Senior Infants made a snowman with the polydron at lunchtime. “We had a plan and made our snowman by working as a team”, said Alan. “We decided to put skates on him”, said Joe.  

Last week the theme for our lessons was The Ocean.  In art class we took dried seaweed, collected from the rocks on the seashore, and glued it onto special ‘under the sea paper’.  Then we took small shells, collected from the beach at Strandhill, and glued them on too.   We each chose a fish or a shipwreck to paint and, when they had dried,

Our Aistear theme for the next couple of weeks is a veterinary surgery!  We treat all sorts of animals in our surgery.  We have a receptionist, veterinary nurse and a vet working hard to help our pets feel better! Senior Infants

We made Christmas stockings from felt. First, we picked the colour for our stocking and then we sewed them with gold thread!  We stuck on a white trim and decorated them with stickers, felt, hearts, stars and glitter!  We love our stockings and we wonder will Santa see them on Christmas Eve! We made some gingerbread men and women in school!  Ms. Greene and Ms. McGrath took a small group of us to the kitchen to bake! We measured out all the ingredients and followed the recipe.  We put them into the oven and when they were ready left them to cool.  Then we decorated them, they tasted great! Before Hallowe’en, Junior and Senior Infants had a visit from the dentist, Mrs. Siobhán Fitzgerald.  Mrs. Fitzgerald talked to us about our teeth and what dentists do!  Mrs. Fitzgerald brought in lots of great dental equipment for us, we were so excited!  We are having so much fun using this equipment in our dental surgery and we use a two minute sand timer at home to make sure that we brush our teeth for two minutes!
