Pig in the Pond

Senior Infants have been reading the story, The Pig in the Pond.  It is a very funny story, especially the part where Neligan(the farmer), jumped into the pond with all the animals! Sweet Shapes in Senior Infants!

We made 2-D and 3-D shapes using marshmallows and spaghetti. Some strange new characters in Senior Infants!

Senior Infants are learning about autumn and harvest time. In art, we made these scarecrows to scare away birds from the crops!  We gave our scarecrows names and had great fun making them.  We learned a song called Dingle Dangle Scarecrow. Here is a link to our song and some photos of us!


Senior Infants visited the Fire station

Senior Infants visited Sligo Fire Station and Kevinsfort Playground today. The fire fighters showed us the equipment they use to help rescue people from fires and car crashes. Bird Nests

Senior Infants made bird nests, we painted the nest brown and cut out circles for the fledglings. We think they are great

St. Patrick’s Day Art

Post Office

The theme we are working on in Aistear is The Post Office. Last week, we had a visit from a Post Person, called Bernie.  Bernie talked to us about her job and showed us the equipment she uses. Perfect Penguins

Senior Infants created these PPPPPPPerfect Penguins!!! Firstly, we painted our background and then stuck on our penguin body. We decided to decorate our penguins with different art and craft materials. We gave our penguins names, Chilly was the most popular name…we’ve no idea why;)!!
