First Class is Full of Treasure!


First Class Makes Butter

Last week as part of celebrating St. Patirck’s Day and Lá Glas we made homemade butter and ate it on brown soda bread. Here is how we made it: We used cream and a jar with a lid. Step 1 – Fill the jar half way with cream. Step 2 – Put lid back on the jar. Step 3 – Shake!! And watch it

Lá Glas

Thursday the 15th was “Lá Glás” in our school. Everyone wore green for St Patrick’s Day.  The whole school went to the halla where  Mrs Clarke gave a Powerpoint display on the history of St Patrick.  When Mrs. Clarke was finished, each class got up one by one in front of everyone and sang a song, did a rhyme or poem or played tin whistle.  The whole

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

St. Patrick’s Day Parade    On St. Patricks Day some of our children marched in the Parade. Our Green School committee have been doing a lot of work on conserving water over the past two years in order to renew our Green Flag. We decided to base our entry in the parade on this theme.
