Junior Infants Making Buns

We made buns with our buddies and Mr Quinn in The Glen. Our buddies helped us put in the butter, flour and eggs. We then put the mixture in bun cases and left them to bake. Our buddies iced them for us. They were delicious. Thank you Mr Quinn and 6th Class.


Connaught Cross Country

Well done to all the children who particpated in the Connaught Cross Country in Loughrea, Galway on Saturday and to the parents who braved the weather! On a very wet day everyone ran well and should be proud of their achievements.


Junior Infants and their Budddies

On Friday we worked with our buddies. As part of our Aistear topic (the home corner) we made houses by colouring a house outline, drawing around shapes for the doors, windows and chimneys and sticking them in the right place. We also told them the story from our reading books. We really enjoyed working with our buddies.


Primary Schools Cross Country

Well done to all the children who represented the school in the Sligo County Primary Schools Cross Country in the I.T. on Saturday morning. The junior teams ran 1kilometre and the senior teams 1k200m. Congratulations to both the boys senior and junior teams who came third in their races and qualify for the Connacht Cross Country Competition. Anna and Sarah McDaniel qualified as individuals

Junior Infants and Buddies part 2

After our walk on Thursday our buddies came back to class with us. We drew a picture of them and they drew a picture of us.


Junior Infants and Buddies

On Thursday we went for a walk on the track around the Gaelic pitch with our Buddies in 6th class and the children from the Glen. We had a great time chatting to our buddies as we walked and had to find out their name and favourite colour. We wore our high vis vests.  


New Junior Infants – Our first seven days

We have all settled in really well. Although we’ve only been in school for seven days we’ve been really busy – playing, working, settling into a routine, making friends and exercising to Gonoodle.   We’ve had our first Gaelic coaching session, been to our first assembly and our first school mass, done a tour of the school, played in the soft play area and visited the school

On Wednesday we had our first Gaelic football coaching session.
