On Friday we painted our faces. We will be adding our features next week.

We have had a busy first few days in Junior Infants. We went on a tour of the school, did P.E in the hall, painted, played with the toys, drew a picture of ourselves and played out.

Well done to all the children who participated in this year’s mini league competition. Today’s final was very exciting with both teams giving their all and playing some great football. We were very busy during active week. We tried lots of different activities including yoga, orienteering, space hoppers, scooters and the parachute. We also went for walks/runs with fourth class and fifth class.  

On Friday all the children who participated in the Cumann na mBunscol competition were treated to pizza for representing the school. Their attitude was also rewarded as the school won the Fair Play Award for schools in our group as well as the overall county award for fair play. Well done to everyone.  

Well done to the boys team that played in the Cumann na mBunscol final on Saturday in Tubbercurry. They came up against a very good team from Grange and unfortunately lost however they kept going until the final whistle. A special thank you to Gerry Kilfeather for coaching the boys.  

The mini league should start on Tuesday 10th June after bad weather and Cumann na  mBunscol games delayed the start. A proposed timetable is below. Please ensure you have everything you need on the days you are playing. If you cannot play please let your captain know so that they can arrange a substitute. Good luck everyone. Congratulations to the boys’ football team on reaching the Cumann na mBunscol final which will be held on Saturday 15th June in Kilcoyne Park Tubbercurry. Well done also to the girls who represented the school in the group stage of the competition.
