The running club is going well, there are some very enthusiastic runners and every one is trying to improve their own style, speed, fitness and distance.
It was great to see so many children try out for the Sligo cross country. We entered four teams – junior girls and boys and senior girls and boys. Everyone ran well on the day, the senior boys won silver and qualified for the Connacht Cross Country as did Alfie McDermott and Fraser Woodward in the junior boys.
There was great enthusiasm from children and parents at the finals. Everyone ran well and enjoyed the races against some tough opposition. Well Done to everyone.
