Stay Safe

Stay Safe is a Department of Education personal safety education programme .This programme is mandatory to teach and involves the children having 2/3 lessons each week based on topics such as, Friendship and Bullying, Feeling Safe and Unsafe, Secrets and Telling, Strangers and Touches. The aim of the programme is to teach children personal safety skills so they can look after themselves in situations which could be upsetting or dangerous. It is important that parents are aware of the content of the Stay Safe lessons and are able to discuss the lessons with their children. The children  will bring home worksheets which will inform parents about the topics being covered in class. Parents can familiarise themselves with the content of the Stay Safe lessons at
