We have had a really busy sporting half term with children competing in the Sligo and Connacht cross country, Sligo Schools’ Athletics and mini sevens football, hurling and camogie competitions. Third and fourth classes played in a tag rugby blitz at Strandhill Rugby Club in September and fifth and sixth classes played in October. Gavin has been in coaching hurling to the senior classes. 5th class started the TriHeroes programme which involves cycling and running and culminates in a mini event. We also participated in the skipping challenge and in P.E the classes were working on their catching skills.
