5th Class students had a very successful day at STEMtacular in Ballinamore on Thursday 27th February. There were over 500 students from seven counties participating.
The children put in huge amount of work, researching an experiment, following the scientific method, collaborating with their groups, gathering data and creating charts and graphs to represent this data.
The judges had a very difficult job as there were over 100 spectacular projects on display. 5th Class produced five outstanding projects.
On the day, the groups were put through their paces as they had to present and justify their projects to a team of judges.
There was huge excitement when Ransboro came away with ‘Best Senior Project’ and ‘Best Overall Project’, with the winning project ‘Magnetic Cars’ selected as the winner.
Overall we had a fantastic day and 5th Class did an excellent job representing Ransboro NS. Well done 5th Class on a massive achievement. We look forward to seeing the next projects our young scientists and engineers produce!!
