Active School Week – fun and movement

Mickey Downs put all the classes through their paces, junior infants to 2nd enjoyed a variety of activities and 3rd to 6th tried circuit training.


Earth Day Art

Active School Week – Dance

All the classes were paired up to learn a dance with Aoibhín Buckley and enjoyed showing off their dance moves.


Active School Week – Soccer

Junior and Senior Infants worked on their soccer skills with Jim Sheridan, second class worked with Benny O’Loughlin and third class with Paul Keavney. All the classes had a great time.

Our Post Office

Before Christmas, we had a Post Office in our classroom.  We learned  about what happens in the Post Office and we wrote letters, cards, and postcards to each other.  Then we posted our letters etc in our Post Box. We were very lucky to get a visit from a real Postman!  Postman Stephen took time out of his very busy schedule to tell us all about his job.  He showed us

Pig in the Pond

Senior Infants have been reading the story, The Pig in the Pond.  It is a very funny story, especially the part where Neligan(the farmer), jumped into the pond with all the animals! We also made a pig and a pond out of clay with Ms McKirdy.   We let them dry and then we painted them. Mrs Nairn brought in some moss and we put our clay creations

Sweet Shapes in Senior Infants!

We made 2-D and 3-D shapes using marshmallows and spaghetti. When we used long spaghetti, our shapes were shaky and unsteady, so we decided to break the spaghetti in half.  Our shapes became more stable.  We made squares, triangles, rectangles, diamonds, cubes, pyramids, and cuboids. “I put pieces of spaghetti inside the squares of my cube to make it more steady, then it made four triangles inside the
