Autumn in 1st Class

Athletics Fest

Well done to all the children who competed in the Athletics Fest at Knocknarea Arena on Friday 17th October. A total of 36 children from our school competed in the event. All competitors performed very well with three of our nine relay teams reaching the final of their events. Congratulations to our junior mixed 100m team and our senior mixed 100m team both of whom won their finals after also winning

Second Class at Dublin Zoo

Second class had a great time on their visit to Dublin Zoo. The children had their photograph taken with a giant strawberry and brought home strawberries and a t-shirt as part of their prize. Girls Football Semi Final

Commiserations to our Girls’ Gaelic football team who were narrowly defeated by Grange in an enthralling county semi final on Thursday 5th June. Ransboro started the game strongly and raced into a 2 0 lead after a few minutes. Grange pulled back a point shortly afterwards but Ransboro continued to dominate possession  and soon added on another score.  Several chances were missed by Ransboro and Grange

The Hair Salon in Senior Infants

Our latest Aistear theme in Senior Infants was ‘The Hair Salon’ and it was a big hit among the girls and boys alike! Each day there were two receptionists who were kept very busy answering the phone and writing down appointments and orders. There was also a stylist, a barber and two customers. ‘The Construction Site’ in Senior Infants

This January in Senior Infants a ‘Construction site’ has been set up. It is proving to be a big hit with both the boys and the girls.
