Art – 2nd Class
To make our sheep we drew round a body and a head template and cut them out. We then drew on the eyes, nose and mouth and stuck some wool on the head. We used cotton wool to make swirls of black wool on the body then stuck the head and body together and added some legs.
We have been saying lots of nursery rhymes and doing different activities associated with them. For Hickory Dickory Dock we made mice. We coloured the different shapes, cut them out, stuck them together and stuck on eyes, a nose and a tail.
As part of our Aistear topic we read the story of Elmer and made our own Elmers. We also made giraffes. We had to do a lot of cutting, sticking and colouring. We think they look great.

Santa has come to Junior Infants. We used different materials to make our Santas – paint, glue, cotton wool and crepe paper.
We made penguins in Junior Infants. We coloured our shapes in then cut them out and finally glued them together.
We made pumpkin monsters for Halloween. First we painted the pumpkins then we drew around templates for the mouths and eyes, cut them out and stuck them onto our pumpkins. Some of us decided to add teeth.
We worked really hard on our self portraits. We looked carefully at the colour of our eyes and hair. They look just like us!
