Myra’s Story

Myra’s Story, a one-woman play by Brian Foster, will be performed by Coolera Dramatic Society in Kilmacowen Hall for four nights on September 16th-19th. The society have kindly offered to share the proceeds of the four-night run with the school. Tickets, priced at €10, are now on sale from the school office. We urge parents to support this night’s entertainment by purchasing tickets from the school. Further information about the production can be had from the school secretary on 071-916 8117.

Directed by Bobby Jones, this Brian foster play stars Mary McDonnell in a performance of incredible depth which chronicles the highs and infinite lows of Dublin woman, Myra McLoughlin. Motherless from a young age, and living with a father who clings increasingly to the dubious solace provided by drink, Myra sees marriage as her only way out of a bleak future which already seems pre-destined.

Critically well-received by previous audiences, this is a tour-de-force performance not to be missed.
