Confirmation

On Thursday 16^th of May 6^th class in Ransboro and Strandhill School made their Confirmation. The mass was on in Ransboro church and at eleven o’clock the bishop started the mass. Everyone listened as the bishop said the homily and then it was time for the 6^th class to receive Confirmation. As they went up their Sponsor held their Baptismal candle in one hand and had the other hand on the child’s shoulder.   When all the children had been confirmed the priest asked for the people saying the prayers of the faithful to come forward.  The prayers said were thanking God for our teachers our school and our families. After the prayers was the Offertory and the gifts that were brought up included a Gaelic football representing sports that we do, a baptismal candle symbolising our growth and a confirmation copy symbolising all the work we had done.  At the end of the mass Mr.Quinn and Mrs Joyce were presented with flowers for all their hard work preparing us for confirmation.  Everyone had a great day.
