Autumn Art

First class have had a great time doing our Autumn art work the last few weeks.

The first project we did were Not-So-Scary Scarecrows.  This had to be done over a few days but it was great to watch it come together step by step.  First the backgrounds were painted and detail was added using black paint.  Then the class created their scarecrows using different colours of card and gluing the cut out pieces onto lolly-pop sticks.  These pieces of art are very bright and colourful and look great hanging up in the hallway.

The next project was our Autumn Collages.  This was also done over a few days but the final product was worth the work the children all put in. They enjoyed cutting out the different shaped leaves and pumpkins but the best part was using gold paint to add lovely details.
