Maths Trail

On Wednesday Mr.Quinn organised a maths trail outside for 6th class.  They were split up into six groups of five and each group was given a metre stick and a booklet with questions in it.  The groups got down to work quickly thinking hard about the questions. They had to move around quite a bit as the questions were based on lots of different places around the school.  The  questions included, how many steps from one basket ball hoop to the other? and draw a birds eye version of the school. This exercise involved teamwork but it also caused the 6th class to use maths in a really fun way. All of them really enjoyed doing this.
