Our new rhyme this week is Baa Baa Black sheep and we have been doing some activities based on this rhyme.
We are learning this song this week. It teaches opposite words as well as manners words. It is fun.

We are doing some work on the Hickory Dickory Dock rhyme this week. This is a nice video of the rhyme.
We read a story about Elmer the Elephant. Elmer was different from the other elephants because he was lots of colours. So he covered himself in blackberry juice to make himself look like the other elephants. But then the rain came and washed off all the blackberry juice. All the elephants then made themselves all different colours and then Elmer covered himself in blackberry

6th Class are just completing a class novel called “Faraway Home” by Marilyn Taylor. It tells the story of two Jewish children from Nazi-occupied Austria called Karl and Rosa who are sent on a Kindertransport to Millisle Farm in Northern Ireland.
