Painting in Junior Infants

On Friday we painted our faces. We will be adding our features next week.

Mother’s Day Cards – 1st Class

Saint Patrick’s Day Celebrations – 2nd Class

Lá Glas was a very exciting day in second class. We had a catwalk show in our room to show off all the lovely costumes, sang Irish songs and made 3D shamrock cards.


Spring Lambs and Chicks

We painted lambs and used chalk for the grass and marker to add the facial features. We also used our colouring, cutting, matching and sticking skills to make chicks.


Spring Art in Junior Infants

As part of our science topic we were looking at air – how we know it’s there and how we can change things or move items using air. We made bubble paintings by blowing into a mixture of paint and bubble mix. We then drew round and cut out flowers and a butterfly and stuck them on a background to make spring scenes.


Second Class go All Out for African Theme

The kids of Second class have been working on the African theme far a while now. And we were lucky enough to report on their work. Junior Infants and their Budddies

On Friday we worked with our buddies. As part of our Aistear topic (the home corner) we made houses by colouring a house outline, drawing around shapes for the doors, windows and chimneys and sticking them in the right place. We also told them the story from our reading books. We really enjoyed working with our buddies.

Fireflies

First Class painted a jar with fireflies in it. They did a really great job, see photos below…
