Second Class and Van Gogh

We read about Vincent Van Gogh, looked at some of his paintings and wrote about him independently. During art we painted our own versions of The Starry Night. First of all we used sponges  and watery paint for the background when that had dried we painted on the stars, moon, tree and buildings.


Wind Socks

We made wind socks and took them to various areas around the school to check the wind direction and wind strength. Halloween

Second class wrote revolting recipes and made ghosts and pumpkins in the lead up to Halloween. On Friday 24th October all sorts of scary people spent a day in second class.


Flat Stanley

Second Class at Dublin Zoo

Second class had a great time on their visit to Dublin Zoo. The children had their photograph taken with a giant strawberry and brought home strawberries and a t-shirt as part of their prize. St. Brigid’s Day Crosses

On St Brigids Day 1st February the First Communion and Confirmation classes got together and made St. Brigid’s crosses.
