Road Safety – 2nd Class

We are currently reading a novel called The Hodgeheg by Dick-King Smith. It deals with the topic of road safety. The hedgehogs in the story face many challenges trying to cross the road. Connaught Cross Country

Well done to all the children who particpated in the Connaught Cross Country in Loughrea, Galway on Saturday and to the parents who braved the weather! On a very wet day everyone ran well and should be proud of their achievements.


Primary Schools Cross Country

Well done to all the children who represented the school in the Sligo County Primary Schools Cross Country in the I.T. on Saturday morning. The junior teams ran 1kilometre and the senior teams 1k200m. Congratulations to both the boys senior and junior teams who came third in their races and qualify for the Connacht Cross Country Competition. Anna and Sarah McDaniel qualified as individuals

Organic Garden – 2nd Class

We went out to the school garden in September to see all the vegetables that grew over the summer months. It was amazing to see how much had happened since we saw them in June.

Active Schools Week Day 3

Today we worked with Fifth Class. They helped us at different stations – soft play, beanbag throwing and aiming, skis, ball skills, skipping and hurdles. We worked hard and had fun. Thank you fifth class.


Sewing in the Sun

4th Class made the most of the sun last week and brought their sewing project outside. They have started to make teddies. I can’t wait to see the finished product!
