Last Thursday, Aoibhínn Buckley came into school and gave all classes a dance lesson. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. We learned the steps to the dance ‘I like to move it, move it,’! Thank you so much Aoibhínn for volunteering your time to teach us some cool dance moves, we hope to try them out over the summer!
Sports day was on Friday June 22nd and we had such great fun! Activities included: bouncy castle, parachute games, space-hoppers, scooters, skis, dodgeball, simple orienteering, bench ball, tug of war, co-operative games and races.
Today we were dancing with Aoibhin Buckley. Senior Infants were dancing with us. We also played some games out on the basketball court.
Today Kyle joined us on his bike to cycle a k with us. He enjoyed showing off his cycling skills. Well done to the walkers, runners and cyclist.
Today we worked with Fifth Class. They helped us at different stations – soft play, beanbag throwing and aiming, skis, ball skills, skipping and hurdles. We worked hard and had fun. Thank you fifth class.
First Class have just enjoyed a soccer training session with Albin’s dad, Brian. We did dribbling and goal practise. Everyone had a great time! Today it was raining so we do lots of GoNoodle inside.
Deirdre Cullinan came in on Monday. We did different activities – relay, hurdles, javelin and golf. We had a great time.
We had a lovely time with our buddies from 6th Class. First of all we played our word games, then read our reading books to them, they read to us and last of all we went for a walk/run round the astro.
On Friday we had great fun with some children from 5th and 6th classes. We were throwing and catching, hurdling, using the scooters, skipping, aiming, running and using the balls and scoops.
