Fifth Class Italian Projects

Fifth class recently undertook a huge project based on Italy. The children split into pairs and focused on different aspects of Italian life, past and present. Each group made a photostory presentation based on the facts they learned. Digital Schools Award

We recently received the great news that the school has been awarded “Digital Schools” status. The Digital Schools Award is an initiative which recognises excellence in a school’s approach to the integration of ICT in learning and teaching. This award aims to build on the excellent progress already made by schools in ICT integration and to encourage them to strive for further progression and improvement.

Grandparents Day

On Wednesday 30th of January we had Grandparents Day in our school. The reason for Grandparents Day is to celebrate the importance of grandparents. Parents and grandparents came to our school for a service and presentation. Under the Sea!

Last week the theme for our lessons was The Ocean.  In art class we took dried seaweed, collected from the rocks on the seashore, and glued it onto special ‘under the sea paper’.  Then we took small shells, collected from the beach at Strandhill, and glued them on too.   We each chose a fish or a shipwreck to paint and, when they had dried,

Veterinary Surgery in our class!
