Dancing with 6th Class

We have had two socially distanced dance classes with 6th class. Some of 6th class made up the dance taught it to their class and they then taught it to us. We had great fun out on the playground all dancing together.    


Chalking Outside

On Friday we went out into the playground with our chalks and had fun drawing lots of different things.


First Day in Junior Infants

We had a busy first day in Junior Infants. Everyone settled in really well and we had a fun day.  


Back to School September 2020

After a long break from the school building, we are almost set to return to school next week. Quiz Results

There was great interest in the Quiz that we ran on the website last week and we had entries from lots of different classes. There were 59 entries in all, with 19 fully correct entries. Art Competition Winners

We recently ran an art competition for all pupils working from home at the moment. There was a Junior Competition for pupils from Junior Infants to 2nd Class and a Senior Competition from 3rd – 6th Classes. Granparents visit Junior Infants

On Friday we held Grandparents Day. We went to mass first then some of the grandparents came in to school to visit the classrooms. In Junior Infants we showed our grandparents our art work and classroom. It was lovely to have so many visitors.


Junior Infants Voting

Sixth Class held a mock election for the whole school ahead of the general election on Saturday. We went to the hall to vote – we had to give in our polling cards, collect our ballot papers and pick our top 5 candidates.


Tasting in Junior Infants

As part of our Aistear topic on shopping we tasted a variety of fruit and vegetables – sugar snap peas, red pepper, grapefruit, kiwi, pineapple and mango. Some children were more reluctant than others but everyone who was in on the different days tried the food on offer that day.


The Opticians in Junior Infants

We have had great fun in our opticians – making appointments, testing our eyes and of course trying on glasses. We also had a visit from Nuala an optomotrist who talked to us about looking after our eyes and all the different tests she does on eyes.
