Feeling Faces

We made ‘feeling faces’ with our buddies from 6th class. We decided what type of emotion we wanted to show and why our person felt like that. Our buddies helped us choose and  cut the different materials we used.


Valentine’s Day -2nd Class

We made Valentine’s Day clay love hearts in class. We then painted them and wrapped them up nicely to bring home to our loved ones. We also learned about the life of Saint Valentine. Grandparent’s Day -2nd Class

We had such a lovely time on Grandparent’s Day this year in school. The children wrote about their grandparents and painted pictures of them also. It was lovely having many of the grandparents visit our class and some even told us about what life was like when they were young.    


The Enormous Crocodile

This week we read The Enormous Crocodile by Roald Dahl. On Friday afternoon we made stretchy crocodiles with our buddies from 6th Class.


Maths Games in Junior Infants

We played different maths games recently to practice turn taking, counting, matching, memorising, comparing and winning and losing graciously.


Snowmen by Junior Infants

We painted snowmen. We put on eyes, a nose, a mouth and buttons, then we chose a colour for a scarf. Some of us put a hat and arms on our snowmen.


6th class ‘Wonder’ful outing!

After studying the fabulous book ‘Wonder’ by RJ Palacio, our 6th class went on an outing to the cinema to see the film.  We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the book come to life on screen and it make for an interesting discussion and comparison between the merits of book and film.
