Yesterday, the 25th of June, we went on our school tour to Donegal Adventure Centre. Here are some photos of our day away.
Last Thursday, Aoibhínn Buckley came into school and gave all classes a dance lesson. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. We learned the steps to the dance ‘I like to move it, move it,’! Thank you so much Aoibhínn for volunteering your time to teach us some cool dance moves, we hope to try them out over the summer!
Sports day was on Friday June 22nd and we had such great fun! Activities included: bouncy castle, parachute games, space-hoppers, scooters, skis, dodgeball, simple orienteering, bench ball, tug of war, co-operative games and races.
On Wednesday June 20th we went to Mayo Leisure Point in Castlebar. We had lots of fun playing in Nokeys ball pit, Laser World and bowling.
First Class have just enjoyed a soccer training session with Albin’s dad, Brian. We did dribbling and goal practise. Everyone had a great time! Last week we went on a minibeast hunt. See photos….
A few weeks ago we had a QR hunt around our school. We used an app called Inigma on the Ipods to reveal a question about people who help us. There were twelve questions in total. We worked in pairs, it was great fun :)!

Holy Communion took place on May 19th this year. The children had a lovely day after all the practising in the weeks beforehand. They went on a lovely retreat to Knock in the week leading up to the Communion and met the Carmelite nuns in their monastery. They even made their own Holy Communion with the help of the nuns. On Friday June 1st Mrs.O’Rourke and Seamus took our class out to the school organic garden. We planted many seeds such as beans, beetroot and red onion. We learned how to evenly space out the seeds and how to care for our garden.
