Shot Putt Coaching Session
Today Paul Murray from Sligo Sports and Recreation came in and took a coaching session on the shot putt with some of the children from 5th and 6th classes. He started with beanbags and worked up to a 2kg shot putt.

We enjoyed listening to the story of the Gingerbread Man. We sequenced some pictures to tell the story and drew the features on our own gingerbread man. We also made our own gingerbread man. They were delicious.
On Thursday we went into the soft play area. Half of us played inside and half with the construction toys. Then we swapped over.
What do you like best about Junior Infants so far? Ferdia and James like the Magsnaps. Odhrann and Freddie like the Lego. Meadbh, Sophie G, Dáire, Emily, Carl and Alison enjoy the soft play. Playing in the office is the favourite activity for Kate, Aide, Aoife, Íde, Mila and Lucy. Julian likes the dinosaurs while Cillian likes the dinosaurs and the Play Mobile. Eolánn

We did some work based on Humpty Dumpty. We cut out pictures and placed them in the correct order to show the rhyme. We coloured pictures of Humpty Dumpty. We cut out the parts of Humpty then put them together and made a wall for him to sit on.
We worked really hard on our self portraits. We looked carefully at the colour of our eyes and hair. They look just like us!
On Friday we painted our faces. We will be adding our features next week.
