Sewing in 4th Class 2018

The children started sewing in 4th Class. First they learned how to ‘backstitch’. Once they had all mastered that skill, they could start on their art piece. QR Codes and Primary Planet

A few days ago we did a quiz using QR Codes on the Primary Planet magazine. We got an iPod each and opened the iNigma app which is a free QR Code Reader. We were handed a page with the QR Codes on it. Beside each QR Code was a blank space to write the answers. We had to answer ten questions in all.

‘Africa’ as Gaeilge- 4th Class Audio

As part of our study of Africa, 4th Class have been learning the Africa-Toto Irish language version of the song. They did really well learning some of the difficult lines and sounded brilliant. 2nd Class African Projects

The children worked individually or in pairs to make a 3D object relating to Africa. Most made animals and shields. They loved presenting their projects to other classes. Well done!


Lego Fun!

We are using Lego as a team building exercise. We have to describe and give instructions to each other about how to build Lego creations. In 2018 Pope Francis wrote a letter saying that we need to start caring for our world. We needed to take action and reuse, reduce, recycle. The letter Pope Francis wrote was called the “Laudato Si”. Feed the birds, tuppence a bag

5th class have been creating our own bird feeders to provide food for all the birds in this horrible weather!
