Spelling Bee
Well done to 6th class pupil Lisa Kilfeather who competed in the Connaught finals for the Easons Spelling Bee in Galway on Tuesday. She did so well to get to this stage in the competition and we were all very proud of her.

Congratulations to our 6th class who celebrated their Confirmation last week. I hope you all had a lovely day in the glorious sunshine!
A very well done to our school choir who did themselves proud at the 2018 Peace Proms! We had a fantastic time in the RDS in Dublin. 2000 children took to the stage with the amazing Cross Border Orchestra for what was an electric performance!!
Last week our school choir travelled to Dublin to attend the rehearsal for the upcoming Peace Proms. It was a great experience meeting the conductor and singing with all the other schools. A great ‘run up’ to the big day!
After studying the fabulous book ‘Wonder’ by RJ Palacio, our 6th class went on an outing to the cinema to see the film. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the book come to life on screen and it make for an interesting discussion and comparison between the merits of book and film.
As part of Term 1 History, we explored and created an information wall about the three eras of the Stone Age. We created tools, weapons and jewelry, and we created our very own class wall painting based on the famous Cave Paintings of Lascaux.
