We were gardening today in school, we harvested some beetroot! The beetroot is purple with green leaves. It grew in the soil from a seed. Seamus showed us some potatoes, white and red onions which he harvested earlier in September. The peas will be ready next week, we tasted some, they were delicious! We also tasted mint and chives! Senior Infants are reading The Lighthouse Keepers Stories. One of the stories is called, The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch. We did some art work based on this story and studied an artist called Maud Lewis. Here are the some photos of us with our cool art!
