Narnia by 4th class

New Green School Committee 2015

Since September each class have promoted the Green school programme as we were electing a new committee. We made speeches and presented them to our class and the children voted for their choice. Blue Star programme

Ransboro gets Biodiversity Green Flag.

On the 19th of May, Anna, Cormac, SNA Mrs.Nearn and Mrs. O’Rourke, representing our  Green School Committee, went to Claremorris to receive the Biodiversity Green Flag . Visit to the seashore in Strandhill

On Wednesday 20th of May, 5th class and the green school committee had a biodiversity day out. Olivia from An Taisce and The Clean Coast programme visited our class. Biodiversity Action Day

On Friday the 20th of March we had our biodiversity action day. In the morning the junior school had a power point on biodiversity. Spelling Bee

On the 26th of February I went to the Spelling Bee competition in Rathcormac National School. It was the spelling final and 23 schools were there. One child represented each school. We were all dressed in bright yellow t-shirts. The winner was from St Patrick’s School Calry. I came in the top eight. At the end everybody got a dictionary, a pen, a bookmark

Green School Competition

The green school committee organised a competition in November where children had to come up with a slogan to promote biodiversity.  The entries were to be in by the 12th of December.  We received a great response and we got many great slogans and also great artwork. The biodiversity awareness assembly

Last Friday the Green school Committee presented an assembly on biodiversity to all the classes in the school. We spoke about what biodiversity is, what it means and how we can protect it.
