Swim For A Mile Fundraiser

swim_for_a_mileRansboro National School would like to express their sincere thanks to Michael Farrell, who participated in the recent “Swim For A Mile” event and raised the princely sum of €1200 for The Glen at Ransboro National School.

Michael is a friend of Linda and John Golden, parents of Adam, who were very instrumental in fundraising and supporting this event. Thanks also to parents from The Glen who supported this event.

We are delighted with this contribution, which has purchased a Listening Centre, large Soft Play equipment which will be used for the children’s Occupational Therapy programmes, construction toys and activities.

A portion of this money has also been added to another very generous anonymous donation to purchase a new piece of equipment for the soft play area in the school yard at the rear of the school – balance posts with ropes and stepping logs! It is hoped that this will be in place for the start of the new school year in September for all of our pupils to enjoy.

We are extremely grateful to Michael and all who supported this event. It is only with these type of donations that we can provide the very best possible opportunities for our pupils.
