Well done to everyone who participated in the try-a-tri on Thursday 22nd October organised by Sligo Triathlon Club, Youth Sport West and Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership. It was the biggest inter primary event in the country and 24 children from the school were involved. Thanks to all the parents who helped out with organising bikes, minding bags and uniforms etc.
The try-a-tri consisted of a 50m swim, a 1600m cycle and an 800m run with every child receiving a medal for completing the course. As the photographs show everyone enjoyed the event and certainly gave it their all. It was interesting to hear from the children the parts they found the easiest and most difficult. Most uncomfortable seemed to be putting clothes on over wet swimming togs!
