Over the past few weeks we have looked at the different types of trees, leaves, nuts and berries that are in Ireland. The children brought in some examples from home and they are now displayed on our nature table.
On the 24th of September the children worked in pairs and completed an Autumn scavenger hunt around the school grounds. They had a great time searching for items such as pine cones, a fallen twig, a shiny conker, an acorn in its cup and a tough, shiny evergreen leaf. We discussed our findings back in the classroom.
