Boston Tea Party

Boston Tea PartyA group of parents have been busy organising a fundraising Boston Tea Party for September 19th in the Radisson Hotel. Funds raised from the Boston Tea Party will be used to update the IT equipment which will be used throughout our school in all classrooms. It promises to be a great night out and all for a good cause – so all the children of Ransboro School will benefit.

It is hoped that over the coming week before we break for summer holidays, parents will come forward and undertake to host a table.

How Does It Work?

Cook a One Pot dish (e.g Curry, Chicken Casserole, Chilli etc) that you can serve to your table of friends and family of up to 10 people. (Rice and Baked Potatoes will be provided by the hotel) Often, two Mums come together to share the job of hosting a table. You can just have a main course, but most tables will have main course and dessert (so one person can do the main course and another do the dessert). So share the load! For example – let one person do the main course, another do dessert, dips for starters or a cheese board etc.

On the Night

Drop the labelled pot of food into the Radisson Hotel on your way in. They keep the main course warm and will provide baked potatoes and rice. You’ll have a station beside your table to put dessert on until you’re ready. Then, just relax and enjoy your night!

Each person pays €20 and music, entertainment and exclusive raffle are organised by the parents. It’s like attending a Dinner Party, but no need to do the dishes! Invite your friends, parents or work colleagues.
