We had a very special surprise visitor this afternoon to The Glen – Larry the Lamb. Our neighbour Lennie brought Larry over to see us. She brought him over in a cardboard box in her car. There was some straw in the box to keep him comfortable on the journey.
We were all excited to see him. He made some bleating noises. Lennie told us that Larry is only two weeks old and that at the moment he only takes his mother’s milk and no other food. Lennie took Larry out of his box and everybody got to stroke him gently. He got a little bit excited if anybody moved too suddenly near him.
After he visited The Glen, Larry paid a quick visit to the pupils in Junior Infants and they also enjoyed getting to see a new spring lamb up close.
