Thursday the 15th was “Lá Glás” in our school. Everyone wore green for St Patrick’s Day. The whole school went to the halla where Mrs Clarke gave a Powerpoint display on the history of St Patrick. When Mrs. Clarke was finished, each class got up one by one in front of everyone and sang a song, did a rhyme or poem or played tin whistle. The whole school joined in as 6th class sang “Ámhrán na bhFiann” and “Ireland’s Call”. After big break, classes from 2nd to 6th went to the hall for table quiz as Gaeilge. The questions, which were in Irish, were both easy and hard. The three winning teams received homework passes. Everyone had a great day!
